WALT retell a Maori Legend
THE GIANT OF … WHAKARONGO SCHOOL
On the outskirts of Palmerston North, whakarongo school used to have a giant lion.
A thousand years ago 2 kids woke up the giant lion. Te mana and Jeff noticed what they had done and started running. The lion gave chase they ran all the way to the windmills. The lion jumped and hit a windmill,the lion was dead. Te mana and Jeff talked about it all the way back to whakarongo school. When they told everybody about it they did not believe them.
